Today would have been my father’s 96th Birthday. I don’t think he would be thrilled with our world right now.
These days, my mother still likes to sit quietly in her pink drawing room reading, seated under the portraits by George Romney beside the fire, just as she did when my father was putting the finishing touches on their home nearly fifty years ago.
