How utterly simple; yet profound. ‘Kindness’. Apart from love, it’s the one thing we lack- yet crave- the most. 🙏🏾

What a beautiful insight to what (on the surface of it) sounds like a much simpler, happier, healthier and more tolerant part of life ‘back to the day’….. A time before polarisation. Before ‘One side versus another’.

What doth it profiteth a man, the right to be born, if he suffers the loss of liberty…..

Laws were made for people and the law can never scorn the right of a man to be free

We are the people and we shall overcome.

As Gandhi said ‘Satyagraha’. Who knew. Although the British East India Company does me a fine job (live and let live) until The Crown took over.

I’ve never been to India. But from what I’ve seen, it is so beautiful and diverse in a many ways. From the cold north to the South. Steeped in history, literacy, education, achievements, scholars and intellectuals. A special place.

Dear India,

Thank you for writing about kindness. We need to spread in any and every these days. I believe there is a lot of kindness out there but the media focus’s on hate and all the bad,.

To help combat kindness I wrote this song called Be Kind. I hope you will take a couple of minutes to listen to it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNOWvgAMu3Y

With appreciation, Ann

A lovely letter that reminds me of my children's school motto, which is "Be Kind". Two simple words for us all to keep in the forefronts of our minds every single day.

I agree that I’m shocked at how some people express themselves let’s say... I’m saddened by how far apart and very different we all seem to feel. I don’t know what to say, I like to think I’ve remained kind. I’ve mostly been afraid. I don’t want any of this to be happening. I feel overwhelmed by all the truths that seem to coexist... yet never share the same reality...I don’t know if this is the same as the example set, I suspect you are inferring it is. I hope that somehow things get better and not worse. However when again people so passionately stay locked into there potion, right or wrong, it feels hopeless... I really hope I am wrong. I do not want to offend anyone, I’m just trying to be honest about what I think we can all agree felt like a heavy week.

I won’t post any emojis as I normally do because I am trying not to stay in my corner.

Such an uplifting piece, THANK YOU, i think we all need this!

How is it that there has come to be so much polarization and hatred in our world? It’s almost as if we need a massive global reset/reboot- before it’ too late!
