Dear India,

I have spent this weekend in tears for a husband who died in December ‘24. After the interview with your mum I was inspired so much because my husband had said to me before he died, ”Promise me that you’ll keep moving forward.” Your mum had written so eloquently the words, “Be grateful that you knew them and were able to spend time with them and love them, but always look forward.” I must get out of the house now and go for a good walk as the afternoon sun is still shining. Warmest regards, Susan

My daughter is a Phd candidate studying memory and aging and Lady P’s exceptional mind surpasses most people’s half her age and is a historical treasure trove. I love every story and life lesson she has shared with us and now have a new favorite Walt Whitman quote. You have all been so lucky to have had her as a guiding light throughout your life. Thank so much for sharing so many personal stories with us!!!

Wonderful discussion! I remember Lady P's saying at the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020 and I wrote it down and keep it on my bulletin board. "Always stand facing the sun, the shadows will fall behind". She really has lived an extraordinary life and truly is a national treasure!

Thank you for this wonderful interview. I agree 100% with all the Life Lessons. In many ways life was much harder, but in many ways people were much kinder 50 years ago. Lady P has wise words and a lifetime of memories. This pulled at the heartstrings, especially remembering, the death of her father and other family members on that terrible day. We are fortunate that you are willing to share her remarkable life with us.
